The Newport Rhode Race has officially been named the first “green” road race by the State of Rhode Island’s Department of Environmental Management. From DEM’s announcement: “Congrats to Rhode Races and Events for making their upcoming spring race in Newport a Certified Green Event! We appreciate their commitment to employing “green” environmental practices and minimizing the negative impact on our environment by using fewer resources and reducing waste.”
