IT KEEPS THEM RUNNING – Jamestown Press

A sold-out field of runners participated in a half-marathon Saturday in Jamestown sponsored by Rhode Races. The 13-mile race was won by Iain Ridgway, 43, of Holden, Mass., in one hour, 21 minutes and 34 seconds. The top female finisher was Annie Bacher, 31, of Cambridge, Mass., in 1:41:33.
The top male and female runners from Jamestown were Justin Hetherington, 38, who finished second overall (1:25:29) and Emma MacIntyre (2:00:48). Two local runners also won their division. William Bridges, 13, (top right photo, center) was the top runner in the 1-19 age group after finishing 32nd overall with a time of 1:49:04. Teresa Abbood, 60, won the female 60-69 age group (2:06:47).
Other runners from Jamestown who completed the race were Donald Sandberg, Chris Giraldi, Brynn Jafry and Chloe Giraldi.
